Anchorage Alaska Bed and Breakfast - Alaska's North Country Castle B & B
14600 Joanne Court • P.O. Box 111876 Anchorage, Alaska 99511

1 to 1-1/2 Hours From "Home"

Fishing and Day Cruising in Prince William Sound is the quickest way to salt water and whales & calving glaciers. From nearby Whittier, charter fishing & kayaking or take leisurely spin amongst fiords & glaciers on a cruise boat. Be back in town for dinner!  Buy Denali Green Tags to offset your trip’s carbon use by supporting Alternative Energy!

Lakeside and Mountain biking and four wheeling north of town in Eklutna Lake takes you inland for glacial views and forested green. The nearby trail to Thunderbird Falls even has handicap access.   Or rent a canoe for a spin on the glacier-fed lake.

Mountain Gorge / Rushing River Viewing and Alpine - Oh! the flowers! - Hiking on the road to Hatcher Pass-near the top, stop into the lodge for hot chocolate or wine/cheese fondue - spectacular views of historic Matanuska  River & Pioneer Peak.

Fly-in Fishing at a Remote Lake or Creek, starting at Lake Hood in Anchorage, from the busiest float plane port in the world to quiet fishing - unless you count the loons.

Portage Glacier Center & Lake - the most visited spot in Alaska, with good reason!

“Tame” Wild Animal Viewing on a guided tour at the Musk Ox Farm near Palmer (buy some quiviut knitted wear for luxurious warmth!).
